Oud & Arabic Singing Lessons

For all levels, online worldwide or in person in Dubai. Each lesson is 40 minutes.

In-person lessons are usually held at Dubai Public Libraries, mostly Al Safa Art & Design Library; home visits are available for an extra fee agreed by area. Payment by bank transfer or cash.

Oud

  • Foundations: posture, plectrum and exercises
  • Reading music and core rhythms
  • Maqamat and taqasim

Arabic Singing

  • Breathing, voice production and vocal care
  • Diction and pronunciation in singing
  • Maqamat, ornaments and melisma

FAQ

Are the lessons suitable for beginners?

Yes. Lessons are for all levels, from beginner to advanced, and start from where you are now.

What is the difference between the course and a single lesson?

The course is 8 lessons of 40 minutes for AED 2,000, paid upfront. A single lesson is 40 minutes for AED 300, paid each time.

How is the course scheduled?

Choose either 2 lessons a week, or 1 back-to-back double session (2 × 40 minutes) once a week.

How do online lessons work?

Lessons take place by video call; details and times are arranged when you book. Online lessons are available worldwide.

Where are in-person lessons held?

Usually at Dubai Public Libraries, mostly Al Safa Art & Design Library. Home visits in Dubai are also available for an extra fee agreed by area.

Do I need my own oud?

For oud lessons you will need an oud to practise between lessons. If you don't have one yet, ask when booking for advice on choosing one.

How do I book and pay?

Fill in the booking form or message us on WhatsApp to confirm your time. Payment is by bank transfer or cash (card payments are not available).

Do you offer lessons at home?

Yes, in Dubai, for an extra fee agreed by area.
